Originally developed for the Israeli Commando Brigade, the Commando Tactical Vest is based on the Amran vest platform and the Hashmonai plate concept, featuring a fully redesigned modular front for a clean, mission-specific loadout configuration.
During the “Swords of Iron” war, the vest was further refined to meet evolving operational requirements, including an internal retention system for 25×30 cm SAPI plates, widely adopted as an alternative to traditional Hashmonai plates.
The vest is compatible with SAPI plates (S/M/L), Israeli Hashmonai plates, and soft armor inserts. It includes a fully modular front panel with 10 MOLLE slots for customizable mission setups, ventilated side cummerbunds, and an adjustable fit system for comfort and mobility across different gear configurations and clothing layers. Quick-release dual-lock buckles enable fast, secure operation.
The rear section features a low-profile hydration compartment that reduces bulk when unused and integrates comfortably with backpacks and rear carriers, along with two MOLLE attachment zones for additional pouches and accessories.
Additional features include a new shoulder system for independent attachment and removal of connected packs, a 3D mesh interior for enhanced airflow, and full compatibility with the LIFT System for improved load distribution.
